LOS ANGELES, September 4, 2007. HRL Laboratories announced that eight patents were issued to the company today alone. This event represents a record for HRL and demonstrates HRLÕs sustained achievement in innovation and the creation of intellectual property.
HRL is a research and development force in such technologies as microelectronics, sensors and materials, advanced electromagnetics, and information and systems sciences. Steadily increasing patent output was just one factor that led to HRL being named ÒA Company of ExcellenceÓ in the 2006 Patent Scorecard industry-by-industry ranking of companies based on the science linkage and citation frequency of their patent portfolios.
