Malibu

Best known as the home of the rich and famous, Malibu is a small community with about 14,000 permanent residents and 21 miles of world famous sandy beaches. Just minutes down Malibu Canyon Road from HRL, Malibu offers a number of retail and dining locations as well as recreational activities at nearby beaches and coves.

Santa Monica

Just a half hour drive south on Pacific Coast Highway 1, the city of Santa Monica offers close proximity to HRL and easy access to greater Los Angeles. The seaside city comprises just over eight walkable square miles in eight distinct sections, including Downtown, the hip retail blocks of the Third Street Promenade, world-famous Ocean Avenue and the Santa Monica Pier.

San Fernando Valley

The West San Fernando Valley is only a short commute from HRL, which is located about 8.5 miles west of State Route 101, the Ventura Freeway. Many HRL employees live in the west San Fernando Valley and enjoy a commute that commonly defies the Los Angeles stereotype of sitting in traffic for hours.

West Los Angeles

Busy West L.A. is a cosmopolitan collection of communities, including Westwood—home to UCLA and a busy retail and restaurant scene— Beverly Hills, Beverlywood, Culver City, Century City, and the beach communities of Mar Vista, Playa del Rey and popular Venice.

South Bay

The South Bay of communities stretches along the Santa Monica Bay south of Los Angeles International Airport and includes the beach cities of Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, El Segundo, the Rancho Palos Verdes Peninsula and Torrance.

Ventura County

Often referred to as the "Gold Coast," Ventura County lies north of HRL. With a reputation of being one of the safest and most affluent places in the country, Ventura is home to a number of residential communities with excellent schools.
